Overview
Beeswax integrates with third-party accounting and business applications to streamline your workflow. Currently, Xero is the supported integration, with more planned for the future.
The integration allows you to send Invoices and Expenses from Beeswax to Xero, keeping both systems in sync without manual double-entry.
Concurrent Use
Beeswax supports running alongside Xero simultaneously. This means you can:
- Gradually migrate from Xero to Beeswax at your own pace
- Run both systems indefinitely if that suits your workflow
- Use Beeswax for project management and invoicing while keeping Xero as your primary accounting tool
There is no requirement to fully switch — use what works for your business.
How to Connect to Xero
- Navigate to Settings > Connected Apps
- Click Connect to Xero
- A popup window opens — log in to your Xero account
- Select the Company file you want to connect to Beeswax
- Authorise the connection
Once connected, Beeswax begins syncing data with Xero.
How Syncing Works
| Detail | Description |
|---|---|
| Sync frequency | Every 2 minutes |
| What syncs | Invoices and Expenses that have been finalised |
| Direction | Beeswax to Xero |
| Trigger | Only items that are created or updated in Beeswax are sent to Xero |
Note: Only finalised invoices and expenses are transferred to Xero. Draft documents are not synced until they are finalised.
Note: The sync only sends items that have been created or updated since the last sync. It does not perform a full re-sync of all historical data on every cycle.
